A visit from Captain Moroni

I am not sure where our Primary has connections, but they somehow were able to get a time machine that has been transporting Book of Mormon prophets and leaders this past year. Today while I was substituting for the Primary music leader, I was surprised to witness a visit by Captain Moroni. He looked vaguely familiar to me! A few of Heleman's stripling warriors (from Steve's Young Single Adult ward) paid a visit as well. Here's a few pictures as proof of our visit from Book of Mormon times.

Hurray for EFY...Especially For Youth!!

Mackenzie flew home last night from an awesome week at EFY in Utah. She attended a Taylorsville area EFY with two of her cousins, Hailey and Adrianne. They went every day from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Mackenzie had an amazing experience and was really touched by the spirit as she attended classes, testimony meetings and listened to speakers like John Bytheway. I picked her up at the airport last night she talked the entire way home sharing all the wonderful experiences and telling me about the great friends that she made there. She was on the computer late last night e-mailing some of the friends that she made there. We are so happy that Mackenzie was able to go and have her testimony strengthened by this awesome experience. So...HURRAY for EFY!!

Here is a picture of Mackenzie and one of the escorts she had during EFY...Craig! When we talked with Mackenzie earlier in the week she said that she had a "COW" on a boy named Craig. We had no idea what a "COW" meant! She had to inform her old foggie parents that a "COW" is a "Crush Of the Week"!!

Our First Swim Meet of the Summer!

This morning bright and early Brooklyn had her first swim meet of the summer. Mackenzie is still in Utah for EFY so she missed her first meet. It was a gorgeous day with pleasant temperatures so Steve and I enjoyed sitting on the pool deck watching Brooklyn in her events. Brooklyn had 3 individual events and 2 relays. She took 1st place in all 3 individual events and first place in one of her relays. She took 2nd place in her last relay. Brooklyn is so fun to watch swim. She is so fast and glides like a rocket in the water.

Here is Brooklyn with one of her buff coaches...James!

Here is a picture of Brooklyn with one of her teammates, Billy. When we arrived at the meet they asked Brooklyn if she would like to fill in on a relay for a teammate that didn't show up for the meet. She was excited and grabbed her goggles and headed for the diving blocks. When the whistle blew Brooklyn dove into the water and did her favorite stroke, backstroke and about blew the other kids out of the water. She was so far ahead of all the other racers. When she was done with her 50 meters she jumped out of the pool and Billy took off. The man timing them told Brooklyn that the two other teammates for this relay weren't there so she and Billy would be doing the relay by themselves. So when Billy got done with his 50 meters Brooklyn jumped back into the pool and swam again. And the amazing thing...she and Billy won 1st place in their relay with only 2 swimmers instead of 4! Pretty amazing Brooklyn!

Grandparents are the Greatest!

Inside the lodge at Fish Lake they had these really cool wood rockers. Grandma and Grandpa were relaxing in them eating their popsicles when Brooklyn decided to join them!

LeBaron Family Reunion

We just returned from a fun filled week of camping at Fish Lake, Utah for the LeBaron family reunion. The entire family was there...all 54 of us! Mackenzie and Brooklyn had so much fun spending time with all of their cousins! And Steve had a great time seeing his brothers, his sister from Georgia and their families and his parents again. It's great to be apart of such an awesome family. Thanks for all the fun memories. We Love You All!

Grandma and Grandpa LeBaron with their 38 grandchildren! Wow!

Thanks Mom and Dad LeBaron for raising such a fine family! We sure love you!

Cousin time is the best! Sierra, Avie, Brooklyn and Mackenzie.

Each family was in charge of a craft or activity so for our activity we did face painting. The kids had a great time tattooing each other with fun stamps and markers.

Steve got up early one morning and went fishing with all his brothers and his Dad. Here he is with Jeff, Shane, Scott and Dad. The fishing wasn't too good but the company was!

Early morning fishing!

Brooklyn even tried out fishing from the shore. She wasn't too lucky but some of her cousins caught fish and that kept Brooklyn interested and she had a lot of fun.
