This summer all the young women in our ward were challenged to read the Book of Mormon in 80 days and to train and run a 5K together.
Last Saturday all the young women and the leaders got together to do the run.

Our funny Bishop ran with the girls and here he is starting the run by hanging on to Lauryn's ponytail!
They asked Steve to take pictures and videos of the girls running. I drove so that Steve could get some cool action shots.
I was asked to help at one of the crosswalks so that the girls could cross safely. I felt so important with my red flag!
Brooklyn didn't have much time this summer to train for the run but she did a great job anyway and ran the entire 5K. Nice job Brooklyn!
Brooklyn finished reading the Book of Mormon the day before the run. She spent a lot of time this summer reading and writing in a journal about her experiences reading. Several nights I would find Brooklyn laying in bed sound asleep with the lights on and her Book of Mormon, journal and red pen by the side of her. We are sure proud of Brooklyn and for accomplishing this awesome goal.
