Sewing project with Grandma LeBaron

Today we went to the fabric store so that Mackenzie and Brooklyn could pick out fabric for a pillowcase. Grandma LeBaron loves to sew and wanted to do a sewing project with the girls while she is here visiting. They picked out really cute fabric and had fun this afternoon sewing their pillowcases. Here are some pictures of their sewing project with Grandma today!

Sunday dinner with Moana & Jim

Yesterday after church one of Steve's cousins and her husband came over for dinner. We didn't even know we had relatives here in Washington until Grandpa LeBaron told us we did! Moana and Jim live about 90 minutes from here up near Auburn, WA. We had an enjoyable evening having dinner and visiting.
Thanks for making the trek up our way Moana and Jim. We had a great time and can't wait to get together again!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We have had a fun Valentine's Day spending the day with our girls and with Steve's parents who are here visiting. It was gorgeous weather today so we got out and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine and sites of Seattle. Here a some pictures of our adventures today and some of yesterday.
We drove over to Alki beach in West Seattle and had a picnic lunch. This is a picture looking back at the city of Seattle.
We stopped off at Pikes Market on our way over to Alki Beach and had fun shopping and seeing all the vendors selling their goods.
Check out all the beautiful colors of the fruits and vegetables at Pikes Market.
Yesterday we took a drive over to downtown Snohomish and had fun walking up and down the streets and shopping in all the fun antique shops. We found this cute old green Volkswagen Bug and took some fun pictures of Mackenzie by it.
Doesn't Mackenzie look like she has stepped back in time?
In one of the shops they had a bunch of crazy hats. Here is Brooklyn modeling one of them!
Mackenzie modeling her princess hat! Funny...that hat really fits her personality!
We took Kia with us yesterday. She loves going on outings and it's always fun having her with us.

Last night Grandpa took us all out to dinner to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. Dinner was yummy and the company was even better! Thanks Grandpa! Happy Valentine's Day!

Who is that girl behind the wheel?

Ever since Mackenzie turned 15 in December she has been begging her Dad to take her out driving. So last night before we had dinner the whole family jumped into the Honda Accord and we went down to the church parking lot. Why the church parking lot? Well isn't that where every teenager learns how to drive is in the church parking lot? When we got there Steve jumped out of the drivers seat and Mackenzie took over the wheel! She did alright for her first time - everyone is still alive and there are no new dings on the car! She actually did quite well considering the fun we had teasing her with fake whiplash and terrified expressions. She can legally start driving in June so we have lots of practicing to do before then. We will send out formal letters warning everyone before that happens! Here are some pictures of our first time ever adventures with a teenage driver! YIKES! What a confident looking driver!
Steve did a great job being Mr. Drivers Education Instructor!
Does this look like a Dad that is scared or what?
I hope I can handle the pressures of a teenage driver! And are we really old enough to have a teenage driver? I think not!
Here is Brooklyn faking a whiplash!
