We took a fun 10 day family vacation/road trip to Idaho and Utah. Here are some of pictures of our adventures.
We decided to take our trailer with us and we are so glad that we did. We have a lot of fun pulling our little house behind us. It has everything we need and is much nicer then stuffy hotel rooms! Our first stop was in Rexburg, Idaho. Home of BYU-Idaho, where Mackenzie will be going to school in January. While we were there we arranged for Mackenzie to take a tour of the school. That was such an awesome experience for her. She is so excited to go there next winter. We had a lot of fun exploring the campus and looking at different housing options for Mackenzie. She is decided on an apartment to live in and has already signed a contract!
Mackenzie has a friend, Karoline who is going to BYU-I right now so we picked her up from her apartment and took her out to dinner with us Friday night. Then Mackenzie hung out with her that evening.
On Saturday we drove to Island Park and went horseback riding. It was a lot of fun. Here is cowboy Steve.
Mackenzie, Brooklyn and I on our horses.
The scenery was spectacular and the weather was perfect.
Family picture on our horses.
Mackenzie and Brooklyn especially enjoyed our tour guide. He was such a nice young man. And is getting ready to go on a mission for our church.
Mackenzie with "Rio".
Brooklyn with "Walt".
After we went horseback riding we drove up to West Yellowstone so we could go see a play at the "Playmill Theatre". We saw "Annie Get Your Gun". It was awesome. Here are Mackenzie and Brooklyn with a couple of the cast members.
Before we went to the play Steve got some authentic Mexican tacos from the Taco bus! He was in heaven!
Sunday while Mackenzie went to church at a student ward with Karoline, Steve, Brooklyn and I went to a regular family ward. Before we went to church we drove by the Rexburg temple to take some pictures. It's beautiful.
Sunday afternoon we took naps, played games and had a delicious dutch oven dinner. It was so relaxing and fun.
Monday morning we hooked the trailer back up to the car and drove to Logan to spend the day and night with my sister and her family.
We had fun swimming in the Robison's brand new swimming pool. Julie fixed us a yummy lunch and then dinner along with homemade ice cream and breakfast the next morning before we left. We had a lot of fun spending some one on one time with them.
Steve doing one of his famous cannon balls!
Tuesday morning we left Logan and drove down to Provo and checked into a nice RV park. Then we drove up to West Jordan to meet Steve's family at a community pool to go swimming.
Here's a video Steve put together of the swim and dive party with Steve's family:

Wednesday was the 4th of July. We drove up to Sandy to go see Grandma and Grandpa's new place. It was fun to see where they live now and to visit with them.
Here we are listening to Grandpa LeBaron tell us a story about this handmade rug that his great aunt made.
That afternoon we went up to Kaysville to one of Steve's brother's houses for a BBQ and to go watch the fireworks with them. They have this fun swimming pool that all the kids had fun swimming in.
Steve and his brother Chad shucking the corn for dinner.
Thursday afternoon was the extended LeBaron Family Reunion. It was going to be held up American Fork canyon at a nice church property up there but there was a bad forest fire up in Alpine so they closed the canyon. So they had to hold the reunion at a nearby church. It was fun to see some of Steve's relatives that we haven't seen in a long, long time. There were games and activities in the beginning. Here is Mackenzie pushing Grandma around the circle for the candy walk game! They had a nice dinner and then a talent show. Mackenzie sang a song in the talent show and Brooklyn played a piano number. It was fun day. After the reunion Brooklyn went home with her cousins McCall and Madison to spend the night. And Steve, Mackenzie and I went to go see the new "Spider Man" movie. It was awesome!
Friday we went out to Saratoga Springs to go boating and jet skiing on Utah Lake near Steve's brothers house. McCall and Brooklyn found this ugly carp looking fish in the water and had fun showing everyone!
After we we went boating we went back to Chad and Tina's house for dinner. Chad has all kinds of fun toys at his house including this little motorcycle that Steve had fun taking a spin on.
It was such a nice evening sitting outside and visiting before we had to leave.
We headed home on Saturday. It was sure a fun vacation filled with all kinds of adventures and fun.
