Steve and I are having hard time grasping the reality that we actually have a
daughter that is 19 years old! Wow! Where has the time gone.We had a fun day celebrating Mackenzie's Birthday. She took the day off from work so that she could party all day long!
For breakfast Mackenzie requested cinnamon muffins,
fruit and milk. She even got up at 5:45 that morning so she
could celebrate with Brooklyn and Steve before they went to
Seminary/School and work. It's tradition in our house that the birthday girl/boy gets to open one gift early in the morning. After breakfast Mackenzie went back to bed until she needed to get up to get ready for her lunch date with her dad. Steve took her out for a yummy Japanese lunch.
That
evening we went to Bellevue to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner.
My
brother, Alan flew in that evening for a business trip and he brought his daughter
Kathryn with him. They got here just in time to meet up with us for dinner.
After dinner we visited "Snowflake Lane".
Then home to open gifts and to have dessert.
Mackenzie requested a slice of Cheesecake Factory's Raspberry-Lemon cheesecake for her birthday cake. So that's exactly what the Birthday girl got!
After
the celebration was over Mackenzie pulled out hers and Brooklyn's
American Girl dolls and she and Kathryn had fun dressing them up.
We had a fun day celebrating with Mackenzie and having Alan and Kathryn come to visit made her birthday even more special. Happy 19th Birthday Mackenzie Kay! We sure love you.
