Brooklyn's Swim Meet

On Saturday Brooklyn was invited to swim with some of her High School swim teammates at a big swim meet in Federal Way (about an hour drive South of Everett). There were 39 schools and approximately 635 swimmers. The meet lasted from 9:00 in the morning until 3:30 in the afternoon.

During the time between Brooklyn's swim events Steve and I watched an episode of The Amazing Race that I had downloaded onto my itouch. Can you see we are sharing the ear buds? It was a great way to pass the time! :0}

Check out this pool! It's an Olympic size swimming pool with diving boards and platforms on one end of the pool. Everything was high tech with totally automatic electronic timers. Pretty impressive to be able to swim at a meet held at such a nice pool.

After the swim meet the bus stopped off at Dicks Drive-In for hamburgers, fries and shakes.

It was a fun day going to watch Brooklyn swim. She is really enjoying being on the High School swim team. The multi-team swim meet on Saturday is scored differently, but for all the school-to-school swim meets, the Cascade Ladies Swim Team is 9-0. They are pretty excited about that.
